DataBug

DataBug is a serial to Ethernet converter designed to interface RS232 serial devices to a local area network. It may be used, in conjunction with its D9 interceptor, to monitor dataflow between an RS232 source and receiver such as an EPOS (Electronic Point Of Sale) system or cash register and its printer or any other RS232 source.

BitNet

BitNet is a 4-bit digital to Ethernet converter that enables up to four, volt-free contact inputs to be transmitted on to a local area network (LAN). Each input is assigned a unique number to identify any contact that has closed or opened. A maximum of 16 BitNets may coexist on the LAN which will facilitate up to 64 volt-free inputs.

CCTV Test Equipment

Cable Length Meter CLM1

For use with RG59 (75 Ohms) and RG58 (50 Ohms) or equivalent coaxial cable, this meter provides a direct readout in metres of the length of an un-terminated run of coaxial cable with a resolution of 2-3 metres. A single range of 2.5 to 400 metres on a 4 digit LCD display is provided with automatic indication of open circuit and short circuit conductors. By this means, the location of a short or open circuit in cable runs of up to 800 metres may be found.

Video Level Meter VLM1

This meter provides a direct reading in volts of peak white and sync levels of a CCTV signal on a 4 digit LCD display. An input impedance switch provides selection between terminated (75 Ohms) and un-terminated (high impedance) input

Focus Indicator FM1

This unit will allow fine adjustment of overall focus of a CCTV camera, especially useful whenever a monitor is not available. It operates by analysing the detail in the centre of the picture and provides a 10 bar LED readout, displaying maximum output when the camera image is in sharpest focus. An input impedance switch provides selection between terminated (75 Ohm) and un-terminated (high impedance) input.

Test Card Generator TCG1

This generator provides a standard 75 Ohm 1 volt P to P, PAL encoded CCIR video signal for the testing of monitors and other CCTV equipment. Four patterns are available

Phase Meter PM1

This unit has a 10 bar, LED display to indicate the sync. Phase relationship between two video cameras. It provides a simple method of synchronising the field sync. Of two line locked cameras without the need of a dual-beam oscilloscope. Phase synchronisation is achieved whenever all LEDs are extinguished. A single switch provides selection of 75 Ohms/HiZ termination for both inputs.

VIDEOSTIK Video Sensing Device

Low-cost, battery-operated. Detects the presence of standard 1v p to p video by simply probing the BNC terminated cable. There are no switches or buttons - VideoStik is powered up only when a valid signal is applied. Housed in a sturdy aluminium tubular enclosure with a translucent nylon indicator tip that glows red whenever a video signal is detected.

Humdinger

A wideband video-isolating transformer (ground loop transformer) used for the reduction of longitudinal mains induced hum. For high-resolution video signals and 'down the cable' telemetry it is essential that all components in the signal path are of sufficient bandwidth to pass the full frequency range of both signals with minimal distortion.

Add-On Autopan Board

An add-on board that provides an autopan function to any AC, fixed speed P/T head fitted with limit switches. It functions by monitoring the current flow to the panning motor and selecting the alternate motor whenever the current ceases (i.e. limit switch is activated). This facilitates simpler wiring to the panning head without the need for additional switches or other components to be fitted to the head.
